Job 2:6 – Job didn’t realize that he had “become an example to all believers” (1 Thess 1:7 NLT). Actuality -> 2 Cor. 4:17. Let us say that in Heaven one day, God shows us why certain painful decisions were made in our lives, and He points to the people that came to know Christ, what do we say to Him? -> Job 2:10
Habakkuk 3:19 + Judges 6:14 – there is something very notable about realizing the strength we have in Christ by His Spirit, that “continues” in “strengthening” others, and you can tell that there is a reproducing unending livingness from His Spirit attached to that (Eph. 4:12-13).
Hebrews 12:11 NKJV – very necessary for our spiritual growth. Embrace this.
Col. 1:29 – when you see the Body of Christ become more and more alive + functional, as we yield and clock-down our selfhood with the Holy Spirit (John 3:30). Eph. 1:19 – that is a powerful energetic force to be reckoned with, an experienced present tense outworking reality of His power for His Church.
Acts 17:27 NASB – I like that last sentence.
Zech. 4:6 – personalize this into prayer, daily; it’s quite life-changing.
Judges 10:16 + 2 Cor. 3:5 – God will inwardly tell us what He has had enough of. He will get His point across, as to what He was getting at, regarding His ordering of circumstances into our lives (tangibly seen in our ~experiences, if we are cooperative with the Holy Spirit -> John 3:30 and 2 Cor. 4:10 = more Christlike than before [1 John 1:1-3]).
2 Cor. 6:9-10 – sounds like the synopsis for the Book of Psalms
Josh. 1:2 – spiritual continuation
Joshua 1:6 – life can be tough but Christ is there (Mark 1:35).
Mark 6:6 + Joshua 1:7 – “successful” -> Matthew 16:24
Joshua 1:8 – good reminder -> Matt. 7:24
Joshua 1:18 – use repentance with the Holy Spirit to end sinful practices
Joshua 2:9-11, 24 NIV – interesting, these verses come to mind -> Mark 10:27 and Matthew 11:12
Joshua 3:3-5 + Matthew 13:16 NIV- we have a very personalized journey with the Lord, like the characters in the Bible, it seems very unique and different, yet, a beautiful story, depending on how we apply our faith.
Joshua 3:9 + Matthew 11:15 – refreshers are important, I use to read the Bible, while waiting in line for stuff.
Joshua 3:15-17 + John 1:43 and Luke 10:23 NIV – we all have experienced miracles, from following Him.
Joshua 4:1-9 – eternal lineage of spiritual life, continues, to present day, into the future, unto eternity. God will get us to engage in matters that “seem” very unorganized but then we begin to see a scriptural organized unfolding of His love to us and through us, unto others, in continuation (John 13:35).
Joshua 4:24 – God does remind us, how real Christ is, doesn’t He? His power? We experienced plenty of that this year! I like this verse Matthew 16:17.
Mark 2:27 – be willing to understand, that the way we rationalize, may be completely different, when Christ is left out for illuminating what that segment of the Bible means.
Mark 6:34 – we need to keep praying about this, we can turn up the dial, in caring about people. There isn’t a point in turning down the dial and removing attempts to care about God’s people.
Luke 4:36 – you see how real Jesus is? Are you still amazed about what Jesus did and is doing + future tense (all with eternal tense)? Then you see, people opposing that, goodness, that’s scary.
Matthew 5:39 – there is also room, to let the Holy Spirit, correct that person
Matthew 7:14 – we as Christians, must not prevent people from finding this narrow road. It’s both believers and unbelievers that are also involved for hindering people’s inward growth and relational discovery with Christ; not just the actions of unbelievers + the Adversary and His Hosts, factoring those realities, the aftermath is that “only a few find it.”
Luke 19:41 – I get very emotional, when God’s people are mistreated.
Matthew 3:3 – can you hear God better, as a result of your wilderness experience?
Matthew 5:2 – there are times, where the Lord indicates to me that He will get through to people
Mark 3:5 – we shouldn’t grieve the Lord and add more grief than what He already has to deal with, seeing unbelievers behave. We ought to improve.
John 6:28-29 – unbelief, doubt and a situational steadfastness of faith in Christ are so paralyzing for ministries.
Matthew 3:10 – that’s pretty serious. When God’s had enough. I have seen, a long time ago, when God had enough with people. We ought not to provoke God to that point. There’s no need to anger God to that level (1 John 5:3). If you love God, why?
John 3:30 – we can ask the Lord for this
Mark 8:22-25 – “and he saw everything clearly” – one of my favourite short stories from Grade 12 is about a lady who wasn’t popular because of her weight. One day, someone asks her for directions and this someone ends up having a crush on her. So he began following her around campus, trying to strike up a conversation, that would make her skip eating and jet to classes, usually when she saw him. At first she saw him as an extreme problem but he ended up being the solution to her character deficiencies. Overtime, she lost weight from attempting escapes, guys began wondering what about her that made him unable to stop pursuing her, so then she became popular. I’m trying to discern the spiritual value of this. Let’s say that the entire time, the problems that we have encountered in our lives, were actually God’s ways -including turning even the bad ones to good (Gen. 50:20), in making us into the best spiritual versions of ourselves -> Christlikeness and for the best interests of His Church (Romans 8:28-29). The spiritual clarity -> cooperating with what God operates us toward.
Ruth 1:8 ESV – cheque please
2 Chr. 26:5 NKJV – and the reverse?
Ecc. 8:5 – pray for this
1 Cor. 10:12 NIV – “if you think” -> “be careful that you don’t fall!” That exclamation mark stood out, also
1 Cor. 3:1 NIV – it’s good to ask for the Holy Spirit’s perspective about what you find questionable in conduct
Isaiah 28:29 NKJV – let’s turn to God, instead of relying on natural impulses
Daniel 2:22 – God is aware of what sinful behaviours that He is trying to rid you of, even without your perception. The journey He takes you on to achieve that will make sense later on, when you look back.
1 Samuel 12:24 NLT – you can be the Moses and the staff he used to turn the tides and lead the way with Christ for His people.
1 Cor. 4:2 – ask God for a performance review on being faithful toward His sheep, and what to work on
James 3:17 NIV – see how it says impartial and sincere?
Hebrews 13:1 – I think about this a lot, you notice how the Bible keeps telling us to love each other? If it needs to be repeated that many times, and we ignore it, what does that actually say about our inward listening to God?
Isaiah 33:15 NIV – read that first sentence, the word “and” connects those two ideas together. That is very important for why certain things were misconfigured in people’s spiritual lives. So we have to actively and regularly admonish + exhort each other.
Eph. 3:20 NLT – “infinitely more” – because the character of God is infinite, so that’s a reflection of His trait
John 8:12 NLT – very interesting version, it makes me think about Matt. 7:13-14 ESV
Ezra 8:22 – I like this
Judges 13:18 – a very slick verse
Eph. 3:16 – it’s good to pray this prayer for other people
1 Samuel 17:45 – getting to a point in our relationship with the Lord, where we understand, from many scenarios that, behind the scenes, He pens out the ultimate ending; as we do everything we can in those situations and apply His vital spiritual principle Words “learn from me” (Matt. 11:29a).
Psalm 43:3 NIV – the entire verse is beautiful and elegant, especially the order. Knowing that there is a spiritual illumination that is caring, that wants to lead us to something holier; rather than seeing us misguided. “Your faithful care”
Psalm 112:7 – worth asking from the Lord
Psalm 19:7 NIV – a spiritual refresh is like a home sweet home in heaven, after being in the world for a bit long, kind of inward ambience
Deut. 23:14 – this is a specific remedy to unblind (existing blindspots) church administrations, pray about this
1 Samuel 12:23 – I can understand why this verse exists -> 1 Thess. 5:17
Isaiah 26:16 ESV – the Lord does discipline -> He has something spiritual in mind
Luke 22:31-32 – “strengthen your brothers”. The verse in Luke recognizes that when we are being tested, it can be severe enough to not only challenge our very faith but also that Jesus prays for us. Where that monumental testing in itself, was a cross-like painful experience, and we tend to contemplate that God has forsaken us. The fact that Romans 8:26-27 occurs, and we survive that extreme trial, shows how much Jesus really did pray for us. In our utter weaknesses, we see this happening -> 2 Cor. 12:9, where somehow, that testing we experienced, ends up serving the building-up and the sanctification of the Body of Christ. So Jesus permitted specific testings to come about with an eternal perspective of the church, in mind. As it says in the Romans verse, “the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance to the will of God.”
2 Chr. 6:6 – the tone of a desire and want
2 Chr. 6:4 – what stands out?
2 Chr. 5:13 – “unison”
2 Chr. 5:9 – is Christ visible, in your life?
2 Chr. 5:1 – your motivation is “for” “the house of the Lord” or for something else?
Exodus 33:18 – using the word “please” in prayer, could make God move
Prov. 29:18 – the more Christ is unveiled in our lives and within our circles, our old ways becomes increasingly crucified (Gal. 2:20)
Neh. 2:12 – there are things that God has shared with me for my info only, that are untold for a reason: it’s way too disheartening.
Jonah 1:2-3 – majority of the time, we go our own path, rather than do ministry His Way.
Gen. 8:10-11 – we can give people hope, in this life. For unbelievers, if you listen to them talk, it sounds pretty hopeless.
Num. 9:18 – follow His commands, it’s not difficult to treat people with love, we can pray and pray for that to happen
Isaiah 30:18 NKJV – worth more thought
John 11:6 – Jesus likes to make the situation beyond remedy, to display that only He can be the resolve.
Col. 3:1-2 – an often ignored reminder, ‘remember, Jesus? Remember, His concerns?’ -> (Phil. 3:20)
John 14:2-3 – are we preparing a place for His people?
Psalm 17:15 NKJV – this translation, wow, so congruent to the New Testament
John 17:24 – a need for His people, to substantiate this desire of His into prayer and into our very desires
Psalm 27:8 – a prayer that the congregation needs to be reminded to pray
Romans 12:1 – “holy” stands out to me; what’s the point, if we behave unholy toward Him and people?
Rev. 1:16-17 – where we go, let our spiritual impact be just of that, that His life reaches through us as His vessels, to places that the sun shines
Lam. 3:31-33 and Psalm 34:19 – I look like I’ve been in a blender, on the inside
Zech. 13:9 – I also wouldn’t mind something that characterizes a trip to Disneyland but alright.
Matt. 5:10-12 – the last part of verse 12, the joy and gladness, I believe is the inward satisfaction that the Lord animates, regarding how happy He is that His concerns are prioritized and carried out to their fullest (2 Cor. 1:5).
Judges 7:4 – God enjoys challenges
John 6:6 – Jesus knows what to do
1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV – good translation
Jer. 7:23 – do we really obey the Bible?
Deut. 5:33 – a very good reminder
Luke 5:5-6 – imagine, if we all did what the Bible said and followed His leadings, the entire spiritual landscape would change.
Psalm 104:4 NKJV – we are meant to shape people’s spiritual lives, for good
Acts 3:19-20 NKJV – “refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” These types of ministries, are close to impossible to find, they are like more difficult than winning some lottery jackpot. Reflect in your lifetime, have you come across, less than a handful? Where you felt “on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt. 6:10b) through a vessel of the Lord’s?
2 Cor. 1:8-9 – a lot more confidence in the Lord, there needs to be more prayer for that
Ezekiel 48:35 NKJV – “the Lord is there”
Luke 22:30 NKJV – wow

Gen. 22:9 – coming to the place, where God appoints for us, not where we decide how ministries ought to be.
1 Thess. 1:8 (NKJV) – everything about this verse sounds awesome
Phil. 2:1-2 – sounds like a personal ask from the Holy Spirit?
Luke 9:23, 1 Cor. 15:31 and 2 Cor. 4:11 – interesting
John 8:12 – a self-check reflection, during communion + everyday
Proverbs 24:10 – how much of His strength is the Lord showing you that you aren’t using?
Luke 9:23 – everyday actively, denying myself any opportunities for sinning with the Holy Spirit and choose the Lord’s way.
